Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support in the design and development of clamps and enclosures.
• Perform design calculations related to pressure containment.
• Assist in technical documentation in line with ASME requirements.
• Collaborate with fabrication and operations teams.
• Participate in technical reviews and client discussions.

Skills

Basic knowledge in piping, fittings, flanges

Familiarity with ASME BPVC Section VIII

Understanding of ASME PCC-2

Exposure to API standards

Ability to interpret P&ID and fabrication drawings

Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis

Proficient in SolidWorks

Overview

Junior Mechanical Design Engineer (Fresh Graduate) – We are looking for a passionate and committed Design Engineer (Fresh Graduate) to join our engineering team in the oil & gas and petrochemical industry, specializing in Online Leak Sealing (OLS) and piping maintenance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (CGPA 3.0 and above)
• Registered with BEM (Board of Engineers Malaysia).
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic knowledge in piping, fittings, flanges, and basic pressure vessels.
• Familiarity (training will be provided) with ASME BPVC Section VIII (Div. 1 & 2) design codes.
• Understanding of ASME PCC-2 (Repair of Pressure Equipment and Piping).
• Exposure to API standards (API 510, API 570, API 653) is an advantage.
• Awareness of materials selection (e.g., carbon steel, stainless steel, alloys) for leak sealing applications.
• Ability to interpret P&ID, isometric drawings, and fabrication drawings.
• Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and stress calculations is a plus (training will be provided).
• Familiarity with online leak sealing technology, clamps, enclosures, and composite wrapping will be highly valued.
• Proficient/Intermediate in SolidWorks & Autocad.

Responsibilities

• Support in the design and development of clamps, enclosures, and leak sealing solutions.
• Perform basic design calculations related to pressure containment, stress analysis, and safety compliance.
• Assist in technical documentation/proposal in line with ASME and client requirements.
• Collaborate with fabrication and operations teams for project execution.
• Participate in technical reviews, JMS/JHA review, client discussions/meeting, and design verification.
