Job summary
A leading fluid control solutions provider in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a proactive engineer to engage in product development, provide customer support and ensure technical excellence. The successful candidate will collaborate with sales teams, prepare systems, and contribute to project management tasks. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field is essential, along with experience in engineering design software and technical troubleshooting. The role emphasizes effective communication and the ability to present technical concepts clearly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering field is essential.
- Proficiency in engineering design software or PLC is required.
- Experience with system configuration and troubleshooting is a must.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver product presentations to customers.
- Conduct on-site system commissioning and troubleshoot issues.
- Engage in project management tasks including BOM preparation.
- Prepare systems for trial and coordinate configurations.
- Provide training on new products to stakeholders.

- Assist in the preparation and delivery of product presentations to potential and existing customers.
- Collaborate with sales to identify potential issues and provide technical insights during customer interactions.
- Conduct on-site system commissioning, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide servicing support.
- Engage in brainstorming sessions and support the implementation of special projects.
- Contribute to project management tasks including costing, Bill of Materials (BOM) preparation, and scheduling.
- Finalize BOM details and create entries in SAP, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare routine engineering drawings and specifications as needed.
- Prepare and build systems for trial purposes at customer sites.
- Coordinate the configuration of systems to meet customer requirements.
- Program and preset products before delivery, ensuring thorough documentation and archiving.
- Develop standard system solutions that enhance cross-selling opportunities.
- Communicate new product launches and provide training to relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare demo units for training sessions and exhibitions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering practices to support the order-winning team.
- Assist in the execution of sales directives and tactics as assigned by the team coach.
- Provide support as needed for assembly tasks.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as directed by the team coach.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or related field)
- Experience in engineering design software or PLC
- Experience with system configuration and technical troubleshooting
- Good verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members
- Ability to present technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
