Job Overview

The Mechanical Commissioning Lead is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the commissioning of electrical systems across our array of Mission Critical/Data Centre projects.. This includes ensuring systems are installed, tested, and operating according to project specifications, client requirements, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for supporting the commissioning process of data centre facilities (and other mission-critical facilities) to ensure that all systems, components, and equipment operate efficiently and meet design specifications.
• Conduct functional performance tests on mechanical systems and other critical systems as per the project requirements.
• Verify that equipment and systems meet design specifications and regulatory standards.
• Perform a project risk assessment and take appropriate control measures before starting any major testing & Commissioning.
• Having a strong safety-first awareness is key to ensuring safety for all in the team.
• Develop and maintain high professional relationships with contractors, vendors, and field personnel, which would greatly help in additional business for the company.
• Be an excellent communicator and possess strong writing skills.
• Have attention to detail and high-quality standards.
• Possess a good working understanding of both mechanical and/or electrical equipment/design related to data centres.
• Understand EPMS/SCADA/BMS control system experience (software and/or hardware).
• Understanding HVAC, Fire Protection, Security Systems, etc in data centres is advantageous.
  
  

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in the Data Center industry.
• Relevant experience in commissioning critical systems, preferably in data center environments, is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems in data centers.
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Strong experience with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to travel domestically and abroad regularly.
