Job Summary

This role is accountable for executing routine and corrective maintenance activities across bbp-contracted building and plant facilities. Reporting directly to the Service Sustainability Team Lead, this role plays a key part in ensuring optimal performance and reliability of HVAC and ACMV systems. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in mechanical/electrical systems, a proactive attitude, and a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inspection, repair, reconditioning, and performance tuning of HVAC and other ACMV equipment.
• Monitor and analyse energy consumption and utility usage to ensure system efficiency.
• Prepare detailed service and maintenance reports for internal records and client submission.
• Adhere strictly to company safety and security policies and procedures.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, incidents, or accidents promptly.
• Complete required safety training and certifications within stipulated timelines.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Nitec / Higher Nitec or Diploma in an engineering-related discipline (Electrical preferred).
• Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) certification is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in ACMV and electrical maintenance.
• Strong understanding of ACMV operations in water-cooled/air-cooled chilled water systems (e.g., chillers, cooling towers, AHUs, BMS).
• Able to interpret Electrical Single Line Diagrams and trace power/control circuits.
• Basic knowledge of Main Switch Boards, electrical starters, and control systems.
• Experience in using portable power meters (e.g., Hioki) is preferred.
• Good communication skills with a positive and proactive attitude.
• Hands-on, hardworking, and capable of multitasking under pressure.
• Willingness to work extended hours when required.
• Good documentation and reporting practices.
