Job summary
A leading electronics manufacturer in Penang is looking for a Project Engineer to lead project implementations and coordinate activities between teams. This role includes troubleshooting, equipment installation, and providing technical mentorship to engineers. Ideal candidates should have strong technical know-how and be proactive in managing interactions among multiple stakeholders. The position offers a chance to contribute to important projects and enhance overall equipment strategies.
Responsibilities
- Lead on cross functional project implementation, machine setup, upgrade, installation, troubleshooting.
- Manage, coordinate and liaise between maker, vendor, contractor and inter-department on project activities.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
- Lead on cross functional project implementation, machine setup, upgrade, installation, troubleshooting and support on solving escalation issue.
- Manage, coordinate and liaise between maker, vendor, contractor and inter-department on project activities.
- Lead and coordinate new equipment startup installation, improvement project, lead by technical knowhow on repair and troubleshooting.
- Assist in performing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment.
- Support equipment inspections and data collection.
- Document maintenance activities, test results, and operational data.
- Participate in equipment testing and analysis to identify issues.
- Shadow experienced engineers to learn troubleshooting techniques and operational procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior and mid-level engineers.
- Contribute to the long-term equipment strategy and technology roadmap.
