Job summary

Job description

Although the recruitment process will be managed by our organisation, the successful candidate will be formally employed by our sister company, LAL Eco Construction Sdn. Bhd.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and compilation of tender documents, including BQ, pricing schedules, method statements, and technical submissions.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to understand project scope under guidance from senior staff.
  • Support cost estimating activities, including quantity take-offs and pricing using standard templates, market references, and historical data.
  • Perform measurements using quantity surveying software such as CostX or Bluebeam with supervision.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers by issuing enquiries, collecting quotations, and preparing comparison sheets.
  • Assist in preparing interim payment certificates and maintaining cost-related documentation.
  • Support tender clarifications, pre-tender queries, and value engineering proposals, including evaluation of alternative materials or methods.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Fresh graduates or candidates with internship or junior-level experience in quantity surveying are encouraged to apply.
  • Basic understanding of quantity surveying practices, contract administration, and construction-related regulations.
  • Proficient in documentation management with strong organisational and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal teams, subcontractors, and consultants.
  • Able to work independently with guidance and contribute effectively in a team environment.
  • Exposure to main contractor projects is an added advantage.
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients and stakeholders is an advantage.
