Job description

Shayher Renovation & Builders Sdn Bhd, a member of the Shayher Group of Companies, is seeking a talented Contract Executive/Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Kuala Lumpur. This full-time role will be responsible for providing strategic contract management and quantity surveying services to support the company's construction projects.

What you’ll be doing

Preparing and managing construction contracts, including reviewing, negotiating and finalising contract terms

Performing quantity surveying duties such as cost estimation, cost control, and measurement works

Liaising with Consultant, subcontractors, and site personal to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget

Monitoring project progress and identifying potential risks or issues

Preparing and submitting progress claims, variation orders, and other contractual documentation

Providing technical advice and support to the construction team

What we’re looking for

Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field

Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar contract management or quantity surveying role, preferably in the construction industry

Excellent understanding of construction contracts, cost estimation, and project management principles

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with consultant, subcontractors, and team members

Proficient in the use of relevant software tools, such as Microsoft Office, construction estimating software (Cost X), and project management applications

Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines

Good problem-solving and analytical skills
