Position 1: Asst Contract/QS Managers/Sr Executives (Construction/Main Con)
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans for construction projects based on drawings, specifications, and scope of work.
- Review project drawings and specifications to identify cost implications, potential variations, and value-engineering opportunities.
- Support the preparation, review, and administration of contracts, including payment schedules, variation orders, and change management documentation.
- Assist in managing the procurement and tendering process, including preparation of tender documents, evaluation of bids, and recommendation of suitable contractors or suppliers.
- Ensure all contracts and commercial documentation comply with contractual, legal, and regulatory requirements, in line with company policies.
- Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction phase to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
- Prepare and assist in monthly cost reports, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections for management review.
- Assist in the assessment, verification, and certification of interim and final payment claims, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contract terms.
- Support the evaluation of contractors’ work progress and measurement of completed works for payment purposes.
- Assist in handling cost-related issues, variations, and claims, including preliminary assessment and documentation.
- Coordinate with project teams to support project scheduling, milestone tracking, and cost control objectives.
- Prepare regular progress and cost control reports on procurement status, variations, and financial performance of projects.
- Provide guidance and support to junior Quantity Surveyors and site staff, ensuring work accuracy and timely submission.
- Liaise with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to maintain effective communication and smooth project execution.
- Support negotiations with contractors and suppliers on pricing, variations, and commercial matters under the direction of senior management.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the superior or management from time to time.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5–8 years of relevant working experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
- Proven experience in project cost control, contract administration, and progress payment evaluation.
- Experience handling multiple projects concurrently is preferred.
- Exposure to main contractor environment will be an added advantage.
- Able to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Position 2: Commercial Contract Specialists (Engineering/Telco Infrastructure Projects)
Job Description
- Manage the end-to-end commercial project lifecycle, from bid evaluation and contract preparation to project completion and handover.
- Draft, review, and coordinate contracts and agreements with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with company policies.
- Handle voluminous and complex contracts, requiring careful review, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of commercial terms.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Legal, Finance, Operations, and Project Delivery) to align commercial terms with business strategy and project requirements.
- Support risk management efforts by identifying potential commercial and contractual risks and ensuring appropriate mitigation measures are in place.
- Monitor project progress, deliverables, billing milestones, and payment terms using internal systems.
- Follow up on payment status and ensure timely billing and collection.
- Prepare commercial proposals, project summaries, and presentation materials for internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in meetings and discussions to support negotiations, clarifications, and project coordination.
- Contribute to process improvements such as workflow optimization, tracker automation, and compliance enhancements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Law, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in contract administration, project coordination, or commercial support, preferably in engineering, telecom, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong analytical and detail-oriented skills, with the ability to interpret complex documents and data.
- Sound understanding of business strategy and risk management principles.
- Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple timelines and priorities.
- Good stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Open-minded and willing to learn across legal, commercial, and technical areas.
