Senior Quality Engineer (Die Cast)
Job summary
A manufacturing company located in Johor Bahru is seeking a qualified individual to conduct inspections, manage quality control, and drive continuous improvements in die casting operations. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, along with 3–5 years of relevant experience. The role demands a strong knowledge of die casting processes, quality tools, and effective problem-solving skills. The company operates on a 4-day workweek, ensuring weekends off.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) or Die Casting Factory operations.
- Experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA.
- Familiar with 8D Problem Solving, DMAIC.
Responsibilities
- Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
- Perform casting defect analysis and root cause elimination.
- Coordinate supplier quality and manage supplier audits.
- Handle customer complaints and ensure effective resolutions.
- Prepare and manage APQP, PPAP documentation, and FMEA.
- Lead internal quality audits and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
- Drive continuous improvement and zero-defect initiatives.
Skills
Education

Knowledge of Die Casting Process & Defect Analysis
Experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA
Familiar with 7 QC Tools, 8D Problem Solving, DMAIC
Good in customer handling & continuous improvement
Working Days : 4 days working (Monday to Thursday) - (Friday until Sunday Offday)
