Job summary

A manufacturing firm in Johor is looking for an experienced professional to develop and oversee Automated Visual Inspection programs. The candidate will optimize machine performance, analyze defect detection capabilities, and collaborate with QA and production teams. A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 2-3 years of relevant experience are required, along with a strong understanding of inspection criteria. This role is pivotal in ensuring product quality and improving inspection processes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in operating or managing inspection machines in manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of defect types and inspection criteria, especially leadframes.
  • Familiarity with quality tools (e.g., FMEA, SPC, 8D, 5 Whys).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and improve AVI programs for defect detection and compliance.
  • Oversee machine setup and performance optimization.
  • Analyze detection capabilities and provide feedback for process adjustments.
  • Collaborate with QA, Production, and R&D teams.
  • Inspect incoming materials and finished goods through tests.
  • Document inspection results and maintain records.
  • Propose and support quality improvement initiatives.
  • Train operators on AVI system and inspection procedures.
