M&E COORDINATOR (Site Klang Valley)
Job summary
A leading engineering services company in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Mechanical and Electrical Coordinator to oversee M&E operations on site. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical Engineering, has at least 3 years of relevant experience, and is proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English. Responsibilities include managing daily M&E operations, coordinating design requirements, and ensuring quality control. The role demands strong multitasking abilities and understanding of construction plans.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of similar experience in Building and M&E services.
- Work experience with JKR is preferred.
- Experience as a Site Coordinator or in a quality control (QC) role is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Participate in planning, managing, and implementing M&E services for projects.
- Coordinate with various parties to establish design deliverables requirements.
- Manage daily M&E operations at site.

- Manage daily M&E operations at site.
- Plan and coordinate M&E work with C&S and architectural works.
- Supervise M&E works, including monitoring of work progress and quality control.
- Liaise with client, consultant and local authorities for M&E works.
- Attend all client and consultant meetings.
- Arrange inspections with consultants/clients/authorities on M&E works.
- Prepare and evaluate monthly progress claims for M&E works.
- Prepare as‑built drawings for M&E works.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Project Manager, M&E Director, and Managing Director.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of similar experience in Building and M&E services for building and infrastructure works on site.
- Ability to read and understand civil & structural drawings, architectural plans, M&E drawings, and other plans with a good understanding of construction work activities and sequence.
- Computer literacy and knowledge of AutoCAD is an added advantage.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Language proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- Work experience with JKR.
