Qualifications

• SPM graduates preferred with interest in food manufacturing.
• Diploma in Food Technology or equivalent is advantageous.
• Experience in food industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine analysis of raw materials and finished goods.

• Maintain a record system for tested samples.

Position Overview

The Quality Assistant is responsible for performing routine analysis and inspection of raw material, WIP and finished goods according to standard operating procedures and QC related to programs. To assist senior staff in trouble shooting and investigate root cause for internal non-conformance as well as customer complaints and monitor the compliance of pre-requisite program especially GMP and sanitation programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform relevant physical analysis or any other evaluation of raw materials, in line products and finished products.
• Conduct verification on Metal Detector. Assist Quality on recording and documenting the verification form.
• Maintain a proper record system on all tested samples for easy retrieval, avoid unintended use and dispose of the correct shelf life.
• Daily check the cleanliness of production areas, machines and equipment. Conduct re-inspection on the cleanliness if Swab test/ ATP test failed.
• Assist in investigation into any internal/audit non-conformances or external customer complaint as per instruction by PIC from the Quality department.
• Assist the implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices in the plant.
• Report any non-conformance in matter related to food safety and quality systems.
• To perform any other assigned duties from time to time.

Education

• Open to SPM graduates with a background or interest in food manufacturing.
• Candidates with a Diploma in Food Technology or equivalent will have an added advantage.

Experience

Experience working in the food industry or manufacturing will be added advantage.

Skills

Capable of working alone and with others under stress.

Other Requirements

Capable of working on shift basis / willing to perform overtime work.
