A manufacturing company in Malaysia is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee and coordinate daily production activities. The role involves monitoring production schedules, leading a team of operators, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining compliance with safety regulations. Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet output, quality, and delivery targets.
Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of work orders.
Ensure machines, equipment, and manpower are utilized efficiently.
Identify and resolve production issues, delays, or quality problems promptly.
Lead, motivate, and supervise production operators and line leaders.
Assign tasks, manage manpower planning, and control attendance and overtime.
Conduct on-the-job training and coaching to improve skill levels and productivity.
Enforce discipline and company rules in accordance with company policies.
Ensure products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
Work closely with QA/QC to address defects, non-conformities, and corrective actions.
Promote quality awareness among production staff.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, SOPs, and workplace policies.
Promote a safe working environment and conduct regular safety briefings.
Report and investigate accidents, incidents, or near misses.
Prepare daily production reports, attendance records, and performance summaries.
Update production data and communicate issues to management.
Assist in audits, inspections, and management reviews when required.
Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
Support implementation of 5S, Lean, Kaizen, or other improvement programs.
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Production Supervisor or in a similar role within the Food Manufacturing industry.
Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and inventory management.
Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
Ability to lead and motivate a team, with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Familiarity with relevant safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
