A global technology supplier is seeking a Validation Engineer in Penang, Malaysia. The role involves supporting the setup and testing of reliability labs for ASIC Semiconductors. Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience in the semiconductor industry and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Strong communication skills and knowledge in programming languages like Python are preferred. This position may require international travel for training purposes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years working experience in the semiconductor industry, preferably in validation testing.
  • Good IT skills and programming knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support installation and ramp-up of a new reliability test laboratory.
  • Plan, execute, and document reliability tests in accordance with Bosch test plans.
  • Independently execute validation tests in the laboratory.
  • Set up electrotechnical setups and select materials for reliability tests.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on test equipment.
  • Travel to Germany for training.

Skills

Strong communication skills (verbal & written)
Proactive team player
Knowledge of bus standards like SPI, LIN
IT and standard office software skills
Programming knowledge in Python and LabVIEW

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering
