Job summary

A leading manufacturing firm in Penang is looking for a skilled individual to manage machine setup, perform preventive maintenance, and oversee quality assurance processes. The role demands at least a Cert/Diploma/Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline with a minimum of 1-year experience in manufacturing. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Job description

Responsible to machine set up, preventive maintenance, and reduce machine down time.

NPI

To support NPI/prototype sample build CN.

QA

To support quality inspection and all quality related issues.

Process

Ensure all processes running according to plan and target.

Responsibilities

Equipment

• To make repair if machine cannot operate.
• To modify machine for quality and productivity.
• To ensure safety all time during working.
• To perform maintenance per maintenance schedule.
• Perform project upgrading and modifications as and when required.

NPI

• To carry out all Special Build Request (SBR) sample runs in the most efficient and productive way.
• Responsible for the full spectrum of engineering functions.
• Develop, characterize, and optimise processes for production.
• Yield improvement, cost reduction and cycle time reduction.
• Coordinate with Engineering for new evaluation study on DOE.

QA

• Responsible to complete incomplete the incoming inspection for all raw materials and sub-con assembly parts.
• To prepare and review LAR report for supplier and Sub-con by weekly, monthly & yearly basis.
• Responsible to identify any material or Sub-con quality issues.
• Follow up evaluation of new materials and any special test run for quality issue.
• Co-ordinate with sub-con engineer or quality issue and arrange necessary sorting activities.

Process

• Parameter setting & monitoring.
• Review daily & monthly activities across the process area like 1st piece inspection, equipment condition checklist and other recording forms correctness.
• Provide technical support to production personal.
• Monitor process quality to ensure compliance to standards and specifications.
• Data collection for reject analysis or trouble shooting.
