Job summary

A healthcare facility in Malaysia is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Lab Assistant to support daily laboratory operations. Responsibilities include patient record registration, data compilation, and ensuring timely dispatch of reports. Candidates should have at least 1 year of experience in a hospital or lab setting, multitasking ability, and good communication skills in both English and Malay. Qualifications

• At least 1 year of related working experience in hospital or lab setting.
• Flexible to work on Saturdays (Half day).
• Able to start work immediately or on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for registering patients' records into the system.
• Perform high quality work in data compilation and clerical duties.
• Provide, receive, and process routine information with customers and stakeholders.
• Track and monitor all internal and external test results.
• Ensure correct charge codes are captured in the Hospital Information System.
• Dispatch reports to appropriate clinics or wards in a timely manner.
• Send out external referral tests to appropriate laboratories and follow up on overdue test results.

Job Responsibilities

Responsible in registering patients record into our system.

Perform high quality work in data compilation and clerical duties with speed and accuracy.

Provide, receive and process routine information with customers and stakeholders.

Ensure all internal and external test results are tracked and monitored on daily basis.

Ensure correct charge codes captured in Hospital Information System with no leakages.

Ensure reports are timely dispatched to appropriate clinics or wards and forms are filled appropriately.

Ensure external referral tests are sent out to appropriate laboratories and ensure follow up of overdue test results in timely manner.

Job Requirement

At least 1 year of related working experience in hospital or lab setting.

Able to multitask and good telephone etiquette.

Good communication skills in English and Malay.

Flexible to work on Saturdays (Half day).

Able to start work immediately or on short notice.
