Production Team Positions – BUP Group Sdn Bhd
BUP Group Sdn Bhd is hiring for two (2) positions within our Production Team. We seek motivated, responsible individuals ready to grow with us. Minimum qualifications and experience requirements are outlined below.
Production Assistant Position
- At least SPM qualification or equivalent.
- 1–2 years of working experience in a printing or manufacturing environment is an advantage (fresh graduates encouraged to apply).
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams.
- Basic knowledge of printing processes (offset, digital, or large format) and finishing operations preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and basic production management software.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a hands‑on approach to problem‑solving.
Production Manager Position
- Possess a Diploma in a relevant field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a production environment within the printing or publishing industry.
- Effective communication in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin, both verbally and in writing, to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in production planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization to meet deadlines and production targets.
- Strong inventory management skills ensuring accurate stock levels of raw materials and finished goods, minimizing waste, and optimizing storage space.
- Implement and maintain rigorous quality control procedures throughout the production process to ensure consistent product quality and adherence to industry standards.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to identify and eliminate waste, improve efficiency, and streamline production processes to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Develop and manage production budgets, monitor expenses, and identify cost‑saving opportunities to maximize profitability.
- Oversee daily operations of the production department, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities – Production Assistant
- Assist the Production Manager in coordinating and monitoring daily printing production activities to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery.
- Prepare and organize production materials, job tickets, and schedules according to project requirements.
- Communicate effectively with design, prepress, printing, and finishing departments to support efficient production.
- Monitor job progress and promptly report any issues or delays to the Production Manager.
- Assist in quality control checks to ensure printed materials meet company and client standards.
- Help manage inventory levels of paper, ink, and other supplies, and coordinate with suppliers when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production area in compliance with company guidelines.
- Update production records, prepare simple reports, and perform other administrative support tasks as assigned.
Responsibilities – Production Manager
- Oversee and manage the entire production process, from initial planning to final delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Develop and implement production schedules, considering material availability, machine capacity, and workforce allocation to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, consumables, and finished goods, implementing effective inventory management strategies to prevent stockouts, reduce waste, and control costs.
- Conduct regular quality control checks throughout the production process, identifying and addressing any deviations from established standards, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to identify and eliminate waste in production processes, streamlining workflows, improving efficiency, and reducing costs.
- Prepare and manage the production budget, monitoring expenses, identifying cost‑saving opportunities, and ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and customer service, to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
