Job summary

A manufacturing company in Malaysia is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee financial statement preparation, budgeting, and risk management processes. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, along with professional qualifications and 5–10 years of relevant experience. Strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards and excellent analytical and communication skills are essential. This role involves team supervision and collaboration with various departments to ensure financial discipline across the company.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5–10 years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards, financial regulations, and tax laws.
  • Able to work independently, lead a team, and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements.
  • Support the budgeting & forecasting process with variance analyses.
  • Monitor and manage working capital and cash flow projections.
  • Oversee cost-control initiatives to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and audit processes.
  • Support systems and process improvements for better reporting.
  • Assist in risk management by identifying financial risks.
  • Guide and mentor junior finance staff in task delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments for financial alignment.
