Our client is a multinational corporation that is one of the world's largest providers of commercial explosives and blasting systems to the mining, quarrying, oil and gas, and construction markets, a supplier of sodium cyanide for gold extraction, and a specialist provider of ground support services in mining and tunnelling is currently looking for a qualified Site Supervisor to join their team.

POSITION: Site Supervisor
LOCATION: Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia

The objective of this position is to manage on site TLS/DTH teams, plant and ancillary equipment in accordance with the service level agreement, corporate and regulatory standards. The incumbent will be responsible for the implementation of the Company's SHES requirements, as well as complete adoption of CHECKPOINT, and Quality programs.

Site Operations:

1. Complete mandatory monthly inventory counts and reconciliations, safety meetings, audits and ensure all actions assigned to the Site are completed in required databases.
2. Audit and inspect site operations to ensure regulatory requirements are met and are performed safely in accordance with company policies.
3. Ensure mandatory training of all employees is completed and documented. Manage employee training plans.
4. Document all training activities, develop, motivate and supervise employees for performance to full potential while safely providing customer service.
5. Ensure that good housekeeping, record keeping, and preventative maintenance programs are in place.
6. Assist in preparation of fixed cost budgets, capital expenditures, staffing, equipment requirements, and an updated Resource Model.
7. Analyse site inventories to minimize product quantities and improve site profitability through stock rotation and management.
8. Schedule daily activities of employees to meet customer requirements and ensure proper management of site including raw material ordering, and preventative maintenance.
9. Communicate and develop/implement action plan to address any operational issues with Operations Manager.
10. Effectively communicate and manage all outside regulatory agency audits/inspections and implement necessary action plans as required.

1. Minimum 3 years’ experience in management position with operations, and employee/customer relations.
2. Ability to analyse/impact financial data utilizing SAP, and Resource Modelling.
3. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, and the Internet.
4. Organization, attentive to detail, time management and quality control.
5. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
6. Knowledge of Federal, State and other applicable regulations.
7. Mechanical comprehension of operation/maintenance of equipment.
8. Responsibility for company's equipment and vehicles.
