Job summary

Job description

We are partnering with a well-established global electronics manufacturing company with a strong footprint in Asia. The organization specializes in electronic production, process optimization, and operational excellence. As part of its ongoing expansion, they are seeking an Assistant Production Manager to support and strengthen their production operations in the region.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate day-to-day production operations, including process control and administration
  • Monitor production output and ensure targets, quality, and delivery timelines are met
  • Lead and manage the production team to optimize productivity and cost effectiveness
  • Coordinate closely with Warehouse and Sales & Planning teams to meet customer delivery requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction
  • Work closely with the Maintenance team to ensure preventive maintenance is executed on schedule and minimize machine downtime and wastage
  • Conduct failure analysis and root cause analysis (FMEA), and implement effective corrective actions
  • Oversee manpower planning, job allocation, and overtime arrangements
  • Train new operators, conduct refresher training, and upskill existing team members
  • Handle non-conformances and corrective action requests (CAR)
  • Prepare daily, monthly, and annual production reports
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the manufacturing industry (electronics background will be added advantage)
  • Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Strong people management skills; able to work independently
  • Leadership-oriented, self-motivated, and committed
Working Hours

Monday - Friday

Day Shift 8:00am-5:35pm / Night 20:00pm-5:35am (Change every 2 weeks)
