Overview

As the Production Manager at Southern Cable Sdn Bhd, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire production process, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations. This full-time role is based in Kuala Ketil, Kedah, and will play a vital part in the company's manufacturing and logistics operations.

What you'll be doing

• Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand and production targets
• Optimise production workflows and processes to improve efficiency and productivity
• Monitor and maintain production equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Manage and motivate a team of production staff, providing training and development opportunities
• Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and logistics, to ensure seamless operations
• Analyse production data to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Continuously seek ways to reduce costs and improve operational effectiveness

What we're looking for

• Proven track record of at least 5 years of experience in a production management role, preferably in the manufacturing or cable industry
• Strong understanding of production planning, workflow management, and process improvement techniques
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think strategically
• Proficient in data analysis and the use of production management software
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field
• Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and standards
• Deep Understanding of wire drawing, insulation, and cabling, manufacturing techniques
