Job summary
A leading agri-business firm in Malaysia is looking for a Contract Manager to oversee project contracts and ensure compliance with corporate governance. Responsibilities include leading contract preparations, liaising with legal teams, and mentoring the team for accurate contract execution. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in contract management and negotiation, with a focus on safeguarding the company's interests. This position is critical in supporting both internal and external audits, ensuring the firm’s operational effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Lead the initiation and preparation of contracts for internal and external projects.
- Liaise with FGV Group Legal to ensure accuracy and compliance in contracts.
- Review, draft, and negotiate business contracts for goods and services.
- Maintain all contract documentation to ensure completeness and accessibility.
- Implement and monitor contract management policies and standards.
- Advise management on contractual rights and obligations.
- Identify contractual risks and financial implications.
- Engage with partners on contract negotiations and performance.
- Support audits related to contracts and governance.
- Mentor the contract management team for accurate execution.
- Monitor contract expiration and renewal timelines.

In line with our business expansion, we would like to invite qualified candidates to fill the following position at FGV Prodata Systems Sdn Bhd.
- Lead the initiation and preparation of contracts for both internal and external projects, working closely with Sales and/or Project Managers.
- Liaise with FGV Group Legal and/or other branches of FGV Group or subsidiaries to ensure accuracy, compliance, and clarity in contract preparation and execution.
- Review, draft, and negotiate business contracts for the provision of goods and services, ensuring terms and conditions safeguard the company’s interests.
- Oversee, update, and maintain all contract documentation within the centralised system to ensure completeness, accuracy, and accessibility.
- Establish, implement, and monitor contract management policies and quality standards, ensuring compliance with corporate governance and regulatory requirements.
- Provide advice to management, project teams, and business units on contractual rights, obligations, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Identify contractual risks, liability exposure, penalties, and financial implications for the company.
- Engage with customers, vendors, principals, partners, and consultants on contract terms, negotiations, and performance.
- Support both internal and external audits related to contracts and commercial governance.
- Mentor the contract management team to ensure accuracy, quality, and timely contract execution.
- Monitor contract expiration and renewal timelines, ensuring timely renegotiations or terminations.
