A leading property consultancy in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to oversee operations at a critical data center facility. The successful candidate will lead engineering teams, ensure compliance with maintenance standards, and deliver excellent client service. A strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, along with leadership experience, is essential. Candidates must have a tertiary qualification in engineering and possess at least 6–8 years of relevant experience in critical facilities management. This role entails significant responsibilities, including vendor management and project oversight.

Lead and inspire on-site engineering and operations teams, including vendors, ensuring seamless daily facility management.
Oversee preventative and reactive maintenance, driving compliance with statutory, contractual, and industry best practices.
Manage plant, mechanical, and electrical systems—coordinate rapid response during business-critical failures.
Ensure strict adherence to JLL and client policies for staff and vendors.
Act as the escalation point for technical incidents, providing leadership and solutions.
Maintain high standards in operations, documentation, and asset management using CMMS.
Drive energy efficiency and implement cost‑saving initiatives.
Oversee vendor performance, budget adherence, procurement and financial processes.
Maintain a safe working environment by leading HSE compliance and overseeing risk assessments.
Engage and partner with clients to consistently exceed service expectations.
Manage complex projects and support continuous improvement.
Tertiary qualifications in mechanical, electrical, or operational engineering (Certified Data Center Professional required).
6–8 years’ proven experience in engineering or critical facilities.
2–3 years’ hands‑on experience with electrical and mechanical services in Tier III (or equivalent) data centers.
Deep knowledge of M&E systems: CRAU, chillers, PDU, UPS, Switch Gears Ops, DX cooling, network cabling, security.
Experience delivering continuous operational improvements and client‑focused solutions.
Strong people management skills, with ability to interact with diverse clients and vendors.
Demonstrated ability to make tough decisions and solve complex problems.
Sound IT skills, reporting capabilities, and presentation proficiency.
Proven leadership, independence, and willingness to mentor colleagues.
Willingness to lead major data center activities outside normal office hours.
