Job summary

A leading energy company is seeking an experienced on-site Geotechnical Engineer to manage geotechnical aspects of mining and construction projects. Responsibilities include conducting slope stability analyses, developing geotechnical management systems, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering and 8-10 years of relevant experience, particularly in mining. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and contractors.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8-10 years of relevant geotechnical experience, including at least 3 years in mining.
  • Able to interpret complex geotechnical data and apply sound engineering judgment.
  • Experience managing soft ground environments is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all geotechnical aspects of mining and construction projects.
  • Conduct stability analysis of mine pit and waste dump designs.
  • Liaise with contractors and consultants on geotechnical issues.
