IT ENGINEER
Job summary
A leading IT support company in Johor Bahru seeks an IT Support Technician to provide onsite and remote assistance to end users. Candidates should have 1-2 years of relevant experience and specialize in IT/Computer hardware. Responsibilities include troubleshooting faults, setting up new PCs, and maintaining a high standard of customer service. Skills in Windows server, various security technologies, and strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia are essential.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of working experience in related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Windows based Server, Hyper-V, Fortigate Firewall, VPN, L2/L3 Switch, and WiFi.
- Able to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot faults using remote access and onsite.
- Assist in setup of new PCs and installation of software.
- Respond promptly to fault tickets via system and phone.
- Maintain high customer service standards.

- Knowledge to handle PCs, Notebooks, Peripheral & Printer faults
- Assist in Setup of New PCs and Installation of Software / Local & Remote
- Respond promptly to fault ticket via system and phone
- Possess customer service skills to communicate with end users
- Knowledgeable on different IT Technologies where continuous learning in the work field is expected
- Maintain a high degree of customer service to all employees, vendors, and clients of the company and adhere to all service management principles;
- To provide onsite and remote IT support for the end-users
- Basic knowledge in LAN/WAN, Wireless AP and Network Security Environment
- Good interest on Windows server, Firewall and VPN, Switch and WIFI Access Point
- Good knowledge in Microsoft Visio, Excel, Work and Outlook
- To carry out scheduled systems and hardware maintenance tasks
- Perform administrative and other tasks as deemed necessary by the HelpDesk Team Lead
- Ad-hoc duties as assigned
- Preferred 1Year or 2 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Preferably Specialized in IT/Computer - Hardware or equivalent
- Required skills: Windows based Server, Hyper-V, Fortigate Firewall, VPN, L2/L3 Switch, WiFi
- Able to communicate in English, Bahasa Malaysia
