A technology solutions provider in Selangor is seeking an IT Engineer, Service Level 2 who will provide technical support, manage network and connectivity issues, and maintain IT infrastructure. The candidate should possess a diploma or degree in IT and have at least 2 years of experience in IT support roles. Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills are essential as the role requires travel in Shah Alam and surrounding areas. Candidates should be willing to work independently to deliver successful IT solutions.

We are looking for an IT Engineer, Service Level 2 who would like to grow with us, clearly defined by three things:
As an IT Engineer, Service Level 2, you will have a chance to:
Provide first-line and second-line technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and mobile devices.
Manage and troubleshoot operating systems (Windows/macOS) and enterprise applications (MS Office, email, VPN, ERP).
Perform user account management (Active Directory, email, permissions).
Provide onsite support for VIPs and management staff when required.
Coordinate with central helpdesk for escalation and closure of tickets.
Monitor and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, and Wi‑Fi connectivity issues.
Coordinate with network vendors/ISPs for circuit or equipment downtime.
Support switch, router, and firewall configuration under guidance from HQ network team.
Perform periodic health checks on network devices.
Perform daily/weekly checks on servers (Windows/Linux), storage, and virtualization systems.
Monitor scheduled backup jobs, verify logs, and report any failures.
Assist with patching, firmware updates, and capacity monitoring.
Maintain system documentation and configuration records.
Maintain up-to-date inventory of all IT hardware and software assets.
Support hardware lifecycle management (deployment, relocation, repair, decommissioning).
Track IT consumables and request replenishment when needed.
Tag and label all assets as per company standards.
Implement and enforce IT security policies (password policy, device control, endpoint protection).
Conduct periodic checks for unauthorized devices or software.
Support endpoint antivirus and patch management systems.
Coordinate with SOC/NOC for security incident escalation.
Support rollout of new IT systems, hardware refresh, or network upgrades.
Coordinate with vendors and HQ IT teams during implementation.
Conduct acceptance testing and provide deployment reports.
Provide onsite support during cutover or migration activities.
Maintain daily activity logs, incident reports, and service request trackers.
Submit weekly and monthly service reports with key statistics (tickets resolved, downtime, asset updates).
Maintain network diagrams, floor port maps, and configuration sheets.
We are looking for an individual with:
Minimum Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree of Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics or equivalent
Minimum 2 years of working experience in IT support, infrastructure, or network support roles.
Strong knowledge of Windows/macOS environments and Active Directory administration.
Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLAN, firewall, routing, switching).
Experience in supporting enterprise environments and working with ticketing systems.
Familiarity with virtualization and backup solutions is an added advantage.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently as a resident engineer and handle multiple priorities.
Possess own transport and willing to travel within Shah Alam and surrounding areas when required.
