Job summary
A leading recruitment platform in Malaysia is seeking an Engineer for Electrical and Instrumentation. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.2.
- Proficient in computer software related to PLC programming.
Responsibilities
- Plan, install, monitor, and maintain the PLC system.
- Oversee installation and maintenance of electronic and instrumentation equipment.
- Maintain and monitor the SCADA system.
- Manage suppliers and contractors for performance expectations.
- Develop and share knowledge within the team.
Skills
Education
Plan, install, monitor, and maintain the PLC system in the plant.
Oversee the installation and maintenance of electronic and instrumentation equipment, ensuring proper wiring, connections, and grounding.
Maintain and monitor the SCADA system in good condition.
Monitor the performance of electronics and instrument system to identify and diagnose potential problems, breakdowns, repairs that are required. Proactively make plans to rectify and repair to avoid any unplanned downtime.
Constantly keep abreast of the technological evolution, leading practices, industry standards to upkeep and implement feasible technological enhancements that are beneficial to improved performance and better efficiency.
Research on new materials and propose solutions that can be utilized or implemented to improve the functionality of electronic and instrument equipment.
Manage suppliers, contractors and vendors of the electronics and instrument system to ensure the maintenance repair or installation of equipment fulfils the requirement/ performance expected by the stakeholders.
Maintain detailed documentation of all designs, installations, and maintenance activities.
Develop and share the knowledge in the area of expertise with the team, to enhance the competency and upskill the skillset of the workforce in the team.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Electronics or Instrumentation or equivalent with minimum CGPA of 3.2
- Proficient in computer software including PLC programming.
This position is based at Sitiawan, Perak.
