Responsibilities
- Own the relationship with key government stakeholders.
- Act as a resource on policy & regulatory matters.
- Prepare and organize forums with government officials.
- Ensure the organization's interests are represented in legislative proceedings.
- Develop policies to ensure awareness of government legislation.
- Handle complex issues with minimal supervision.
- Work closely with corporate functions like Communications and Legal.
- Manage crises effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Own the relationship with key government stakeholders.
- Act as a resource on policy & regulatory matters with regards to government relations
- Prepare and organize forums and gatherings with government officials to exchange ideas and information on business activities and potential legislation that may affect the business and the organization.
- Ensure that the organization's interests are represented and protected in legislative proceedings and in the development of market rules and procedures.
- Develop and maintain policies and programs to ensure awareness of government legislation and regulatory issues that affect the business and the organization.
- Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Work closely with other corporate functions like Communications, Media Relations, Corporate Responsibility and Legal
