  • Own the relationship with key government stakeholders.
  • Act as a resource on policy & regulatory matters.
  • Prepare and organize forums with government officials.
  • Ensure the organization's interests are represented in legislative proceedings.
  • Develop policies to ensure awareness of government legislation.
  • Handle complex issues with minimal supervision.
  • Work closely with corporate functions like Communications and Legal.
  • Manage crises effectively.
Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Own the relationship with key government stakeholders.
  • Act as a resource on policy & regulatory matters with regards to government relations
  • Prepare and organize forums and gatherings with government officials to exchange ideas and information on business activities and potential legislation that may affect the business and the organization.
  • Ensure that the organization's interests are represented and protected in legislative proceedings and in the development of market rules and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain policies and programs to ensure awareness of government legislation and regulatory issues that affect the business and the organization.
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Work closely with other corporate functions like Communications, Media Relations, Corporate Responsibility and Legal
