Staff Nurse (Ambulatory Procedure Department)
Job summary
A healthcare facility in Penang is seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse for its Ambulatory Procedure Department. The role involves duties as a Scrub Nurse and includes assisting in various medical procedures. Candidates should be state-registered nurses with a Post-Basic Perioperative qualification and at least two years of relevant experience. Good communication and teamwork abilities are essential. Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in handling medical/surgical procedures.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
Responsibilities
- Perform duties as a Scrub Nurse for Operating Theatre procedures.
- Assist as an Anaesthetic Nurse during procedures.
- Provide post-operative care as a Recovery Room Nurse.
- Carry out duties as a CSSD Nurse, including sterilization and instrument handling.
Skills
Education
Perform duties as a Scrub Nurse for Operating Theatre (OT) procedures, including:
- Assisting in brachytherapy applicator insertion
- proposent Chemoport insertion
- Perform duties as an Operating Theatre Circulating Nurse
- Assist as an Anaesthetic Nurse during procedures
- Provide post-operative care as a Recovery Room Nurse
- Carry out duties as a CSSD Nurse, including sterilization and instrument handling
- State Registered Nurse (SRN) with Post‑Basic Perioperative qualification
- Valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC) issued by the Malaysian Nursing Board
- Minimum 2 years of experience in handling medical/surgical procedures.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
