As a Sports Advisor (Sales), (or Sports Advisor, as we call it), your role is to ensure all customers leave our stores ‘satisfied or very satisfied’. From a friendly and professional welcome to a quick and easy payment process, your role is to always deliver a 5-star shopping experience. Decathlon heavily invests in the development of teammates so that those who want to build careers within the business can flourish in their roles.

1. To Customers

• Welcome customers in a professional manner.
• Fully commit to the satisfaction of every customer and determine suitable solutions for various situations (returns, complaints, checkout, etc.).
• Know the technical features and user benefits of Decathlon products to offer appropriate products and services, even if they are not in range.
• Develop a network of customers both in-store and online to build better relationships.
• Pass on sports passion and help customers discover new sports.
• Encourage customers to subscribe/register for the loyalty card to enhance customer information.

• Understand the department's goals and work with the team to achieve them.
• Promote innovation and a sports experience in-store.
• Use resources and commercial tools to boost Decathlon Malaysia's sales.
• Arrange the store layout according to implantation principles and guidelines.
• Ensure high-quality store layout based on the Satisfied Customer Family (FCS) concept.
• Maintain the store layout to ensure good facing and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure stock accuracy and availability using the automatic replenishment system.

• Enforce basic safety and security standards in the departments.
• Know and implement guidelines regarding fire safety and evacuation procedures.

• Participate in training sessions, develop training skills, and become a trainer.
