Job summary

A leading global ICT solutions provider in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Contract Manager to lead a team and ensure effective contract execution. Responsibilities include reviewing pre-sales contracts and managing project orders and billing issues. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree and have at least 3 years of experience in commercial negotiation. Experience in telecommunications is preferred.

Job description

Reporting to the Head of Contract Commerce for a particular account, the candidate shall lead and coordinate a team and primarily be responsible for ensuring contracting and commercial works (including ordering and billing) are executed to meet business and operating objectives of an account.

Responsibilities include:

  • Review and provide negotiation support for pre-sales contract to ensure contract clauses are supportive of project delivery and implementation.
  • Work closely with Project Management team and provide contract support in particular for those areas related to SOW/RM/Risk/payment terms/Acceptance/Warranty and other critical clauses impacting project implementation.
  • Manage contract variation by identifying change requirement, organizing negotiation process, until such change order has been obtained, approved and completed.
  • Provide advice to the Head of Contract Commerce for a particular account about an efficient operation of the whole system or process and provide guidance to the relevant contract commerce team for execution.
  • Monitor project fulfilment status and managing contract risks including risk identification, risk alert, formulate risk avoidance or mitigation strategy and risk monitor and reporting until closure.
  • Manage project ordering and billing, and provide negotiation support and proactively resolve any order and billing problems.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Law, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Commerce or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years relevant working experience in commercial negotiation and contract management.
  • Have experience in commercial negotiation, bidding and contract management.
  • Experience in the telecommunication or information technology industry will be an advantage.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
