Job Summary

The Operations Loan Executive is responsible for handling end-to-end loan processing activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role involves assessing loan applications, verifying customer documentation, coordinating disbursements, and supporting the collections team to ensure smooth operations in the loan lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities
1. Loan Processing & Documentation
  • Review and verify loan applications, supporting documents, and customer information.
  • Ensure all required documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with internal policies.
  • Prepare and process loan agreements, approvals, and disbursement requests.
  • Review settled accounts and prepare settlement letters for customers.
2. Customer & Sales Support
  • Liaise with customers to clarify loan requirements and follow up on missing documents.
  • Coordinate with the sales team to ensure timely submission and processing of applications.
  • Provide guidance to customers on loan terms, repayment schedules, and conditions.
  • Handle customer inquiries via chat (ZENDESK), WhatsApp, and email, and assist with KYC processes when necessary.
3. Operational & Compliance Duties
  • Maintain accurate records of all loan transactions in the system.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) guidelines, and relevant regulations.
  • Assist in internal/external audits by preparing required reports and documentation.
  • Assist in applying LHDN stamping when required.
4. Disbursement & Repayment Monitoring
  • Coordinate with the Operations Team Leader for loan disbursements.
  • Track loan repayments and flag overdue accounts to the collections team.
  • Generate periodic loan operation reports for management review.
  • Process loan account closures, including waiving small outstanding balances when applicable.
5. Administrative & Support Functions
  • Assist in improving loan processing workflows to increase efficiency.
  • Support day-to-day operational tasks in the Loans Department.
  • Handle any ad hoc duties assigned by management.
Job Requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive financial data.
  • Good knowledge of lending regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace and computer skills.
  • Familiarity with Zendesk or other ticketing systems for handling customer inquiries.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Resilient in managing demanding or pressured customers while maintaining professionalism.
Education and/or Experience
  • Diploma/Degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in loan processing, credit operations, or banking preferred.
