About the Position

We are seeking a commercially experienced, strategically-minded Business Development Manager to lead the growth of DeepSea across Asia. Based in Singapore, you will be responsible for driving enterprise sales into some of the region’s most important shipping organisations.

This is a senior role, requiring a consultative approach and the ability to navigate complex buying structures, engage multiple stakeholders, and build long-term relationships at both operational and executive levels.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Own the full enterprise sales cycle for your region - from strategic targeting and outreach to multi-stakeholder engagement, proposal development, and closing

  • Build strong relationships across operations, performance, innovation, technical and C-level teams in shipping organisations

  • Identify client challenges and align them with the relevant elements of the DeepSea solution ecosystem

  • Collaborate with product, operations and customer success teams to ensure client needs are clearly understood and addressed

  • Provide structured feedback from the market to help shape our go-to-market strategy and product roadmap

  • Represent DeepSea at industry events and within key account networks, establishing our presence as a category leader in maritime digitalisation

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience in enterprise or consultative sales, ideally within shipping, maritime technology or related sectors

  • Ability to navigate complex sales environments with multiple stakeholders and long sales cycles

  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to understand business impact and ROI

  • Ability to grasp technical concepts

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

  • A self-starter mindset with the discipline to own a market and drive long-term growth

  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus

  • Willingness to travel across Asia and occasionally beyond

Desired, but not mandatory:

  • Experience within DeepTech environments

  • Experience in the ship monitoring or performance industries

  • Experience within SaaS businesses

  • Familiarity with the principles of Artificial Intelligence
