Senior Sustainability Engineer
Job summary
A construction and environmental services company based in Singapore is seeking a Sustainability Manager to lead the development of their Sustainability Report and manage environmental data analysis. The role demands at least 5 years of management experience in sustainability and requires a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field. As an integral part of the team, you will ensure compliance with ISO standards and contribute to innovative, eco-friendly initiatives. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills and a passion for sustainability.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years management experience in environmental or sustainability related industry.
- Green Mark Accredited Professional.
- Familiar with ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of Sustainability Report.
- Collect and analyze environmental data from stakeholders.
- Conduct internal GGBS audits periodically.
- Ensure adherence to ISO 14001 objectives and targets.
- Research solutions to reduce material and energy consumption.
Skills
Education
Summary of the responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows:
- Lead the development of Sustainability Report.
- Collect, monitor and analyze environmental data collected from the internal stakeholders.
- Support in setting and reviewing of environmental targets for the company.
- Conduct internal Green and Gracious Builder Scheme (GGBS) audits periodically.
- Ensure that the organization is in line with the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System objectives and targets.
- Support in ensuring that the ISO 50001 Energy Management System (EnMS) is established, maintained and continually improved.
- Create, implement and communicate environmental and sustainability programs effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor and measure progress of environmental and sustainability programs against objectives, targets, as well as compliance to legal requirements and report the findings.
- Analyze and assess existing programs and processes for potential inefficiencies, define and implement the appropriate economical solutions and ensure continuous improvement.
- Research and recommend solutions to reduce materials, water and energy consumption at site as well as reduction of all forms of pollution.
- Research and recommend methods for the usage of recycled and sustainable materials at site in order to be more environmentally friendly.
- Adherence to safety practices in the workplace.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Engineering or Sustainability from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 5 years management experience in the environmental or sustainability related industry.
