Job summary

A leading industrial services provider in Singapore is seeking a highly experienced Site Supervisor to lead daily operations on-site. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 8 years in industrial construction and strong knowledge of scaffolding, thermal insulation, and asbestos handling. Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks are essential. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with safety standards and successful project execution.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in industrial construction, with at least 3 years on Bukom Island or similar petrochemical environments.
• Strong technical knowledge in scaffolding, thermal insulation, industrial painting/coating systems, and asbestos handling and disposal.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise daily site operations, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and timelines.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors and site crews involved in scaffolding, insulation, painting, and asbestos-related work.
• Ensure all work activities adhere to previously Shell, now ASTER Bukom’s safety & quality protocols, including permit-to-work systems and confined space entry procedures.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure quality and safety compliance.
• Liaise with process unit managers, engineers, and client representatives to resolve site issues and ensure smooth execution.
• Maintain accurate documentation including daily progress reports, safety records, and material usage.
• Support planning and scheduling of work activities, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
• Assist in risk assessments and method statement reviews, particularly for high-risk activities involving asbestos.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement among site personnel.
• Be commercially aware and profit and loss minded.

Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in industrial construction, with at least 3 years on Bukom Island or similar petrochemical environments.
• Strong technical knowledge in scaffolding, thermal insulation, industrial painting/coating systems, and asbestos handling and disposal.
• Familiarity with previously Shell, now ASTER Bukom’s HSSE & Quality standards and local regulatory requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with turnaround/shutdown projects is a must.
• ICORR Level 2 Insulation Inspector
• AMPP CIP Level 2 Coating Inspector
• IOGS Level 2 Fireproofing Inspector
