Job summary
A leading Malaysian company located in Ipoh seeks a skilled Financial and Management Accountant to design financial workflows, ensure compliance with MFRS, and align IT systems with financial operations. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, 5+ years of experience in financial management, and excellent communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia. Willingness to travel is necessary for this role.
Qualifications
- Minimum CGPA of 3.0 from recognized universities.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial management or audit.
- Must be willing to travel and relocate.
Responsibilities
- Design and standardize financial workflows.
- Liaison between Finance and IT for ERP systems upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with MFRS and IFRS.
- Lead finance initiatives and data analytics projects.
- Establish internal control frameworks and SOPs.
- Conduct workshops for business units.
Skills
Education
To be based in Head Office, Ipoh, Perak.
Process Architecture: Design and standardize end-to-end financial workflows (e.g., Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay) to ensure consistency across regional entities.
IT & System Alignment: Act as the primary liaison between Finance and IT to implement/upgrade ERP systems (Estate Financial System). Translate accounting requirements into technical functional specifications.
Technical Compliance: Ensure all financial processes and reporting comply with MFRS (Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards), IFRS, and local tax regulations (SST, Corporate Tax).
Digital Transformation: Lead finance initiatives, data analytics projects, and the deployment.
Governance & Control: Establish internal control frameworks and "Standard Operating Procedures" (SOPs) to mitigate financial risks and ensure audit readiness.
Change Management: Conduct workshops and training sessions for business units to ensure smooth adoption of new financial tools or policy changes.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance from recognized universities with minimum CGPA 3.0.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial management or audit.
- Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Independent with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders from various countries.
- Must be willing to travel.
