A leading logistics firm in Malaysia is seeking an experienced finance professional to lead end-to-end accounting and financial reporting activities. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting and 10–15 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a senior finance role. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, leading budgeting processes, and developing the finance team. Oversee end-to-end accounting and financial reporting activities
Ensure timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing
Prepare and review statutory financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards
Ensure accuracy of balance sheet reconciliations and management reports
Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes
Monitor financial performance and provide variance analysis
Support management with financial insights and cost control initiatives
Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and tax requirements
Manage external audits and liaise with auditors and tax advisors
Ensure timely submission of tax filings and statutory returns
Address audit findings and implement corrective actions
Establish and maintain effective internal controls and financial procedures
Ensure adherence to approval limits and company policies
Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation measures
Monitor cash flow, working capital, and banking matters
Oversee payment processes, collections, and bank reconciliations
Lead and develop the finance & accounts team
Act as the key finance contact for management and external stakeholders
Drive continuous improvement and efficiency within the finance function
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
Professional qualification preferred (ACCA / CPA / CA / CIMA or equivalent)
10–15 years of relevant finance and accounting experience
Minimum 5-10 years in a senior finance role (Senior Manager / Head of Finance / DGM-equivalent)
Strong exposure to statutory reporting, audit, and compliance
MNC or structured corporate experience preferred
Strong technical accounting knowledge
Solid understanding of local statutory and tax requirements
Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills
High integrity, ownership mindset, and attention to detail
