Job summary

An established company in the automotive sector is looking for an experienced accountant to manage complete financial accounts. Responsibilities include monthly financial closing, preparing reports, and liaising with auditors and banks. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting and possess at least three years of relevant experience, along with strong analytical and communication skills. This role is based in Puchong, Malaysia.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Handle full sets of accounts including ledgers, bank reconciliation, and month-end closing.
  • Responsible for timely financial statement preparation and reporting.
  • Manage cash flow, budget, and forecasts.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Handle and monitor company full sets of accounts including updating and verification of ledgers, bank reconciliation, A/P, A/R, month end closing into accounting system with speed and accuracy and properly file all the related documents.
  • Responsible for month end, quarterly and year-end financial closing and reporting.
  • Ensure timely account closing including financial statement/report preparation, supporting schedule and related matters.
  • Responsible for cash management, budget and forecast and timely submission of management report.
  • Handle year-end reports for audit and tax schedules.
  • Perform SST return, exemption application, and reporting.
  • Deal with bankers on bank loan interest rates, forex rate booking and submission.
  • Verify fixed assets maintenance report.
  • Preparation and submission of trade finance documentation.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, government authorities, and bankers.
  • Comply with ISO 9001 QMS requirement.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or relevant field.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes.
  • Outstanding analytical and time management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
