Job summary

A global consumer goods company seeks a Finance Manager in Kuala Lumpur to oversee budgeting and forecasting for fixed costs across Malaysia and Singapore. This role involves collaborating with HR and functional heads to maintain budget controls, conducting detailed reporting, and supporting financial audits. Ideal candidates should possess a finance degree and 5-7 years of relevant experience, preferably with SAP knowledge. They will also partake in the finance leadership and help develop finance talents.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

About the role

We're looking for a Finance Manager to primarily oversee Forecasting, Accounting, MIS for Company Fixed costs for Malaysia & Singapore Cluster for all businesses. Further, the position will be part of FP&A vertical which will mean the person will also get involved in some Key projects on savings & planning.

Your responsibilities
  • Quarterly Forecast and annual Planning process for Fixed Costs (“CFC”) by working closely with HR and other functional heads.
  • Exercise Strong Budget Controls on CFC Spends (People and Non-People cost) to ensure adherence with Plans/Forecasts
  • CFC Reporting / analysis by Month / spends Head / Ledger / Function vs Budgets to identify Overspends / savings and drive actions.
  • Improving / strengthening CFC Forecasting approach with an Objective of detailing and Simplification. Working collaboratively with each Functions and adherence to FC timelines.
  • Proactively identifying CFC Optimization for MYSG Fixed Cost by working closely with Functional leaders and ensuring a strong process on all discretionary CFC spends.
  • Act as a finance Business Partner to the Functional Leaders for their Fixed cost requirements.
  • Month End Support for CFC accounting, reporting and variance analysis vs Forecasts/Previous year
  • Assisting controlling teams in Internal and external audits related to CFC spending.
  • An active member for Finance Leadership group in developing Finance talents in the cluster and other programs.
The experience we're looking for
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance and/or Accountancy from a recognized university
  • Must be a member of MIA/ professional body (Preferably ACCA)
  • At least 5-7 years of Finance Controlling, commercial & business planning working experience
  • Knowledge of SAP would be an added advantage
