- Monitor all financial and costing records to ensure accuracy and that month-end and year-end closing accounts are completed as scheduled.
- Ensure the company's accounting records comply with the company's policies and statutory requirements.
- Supervise the consolidation of accounts within the group of companies.
- Monitor funds requirements and availability to ensure effective cash management.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly cash flow forecasts for the holding company and board.
- Review evaluation reports (IRR, etc.) for major capital expenditure projects.
- Oversee progress of special assignments, such as system upgrades and corporate projects within the group.
- Ensure internal control procedures are well defined, understood, and followed by all departments.
- Review the yearly operation budget for management decisions.
- Oversee annual income tax submissions, estimated tax payments, and maximize tax incentives.
- Supervise payroll preparation and ensure statutory compliance.
- Liaise with external auditors and coordinate statutory audits.
- Manage accounts payable transactions, verify and record data, settle invoices, and maintain files.
- Review insurance renewal calculations and monitor insurance claims.
- Ensure smooth operation of administrative functions, equipment, and payroll.
- Prepare corporate reports as needed.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- At least 5-8 years of experience in accounting or related fields; experience in building materials industry is a plus.
- Leadership skills and ability to work in a team with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Analytical, organized, meticulous, responsible, with problem-solving skills and deadline orientation.
- Willing to work beyond hours during month-end and year-end closing.
- Ability to work independently and under stress.
- Ability to motivate and guide subordinates for efficiency.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
