Job description

We are seeking a capable, detail-oriented Assistant Finance Manager to support the finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with statutory requirements. This role is ideal for finance professionals who are hands-on, analytical, and ready to grow into a leadership position.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts, financial reports, and variance analysis
• Prepare the group's monthly consolidated accounts
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management (including the monthly bank reconciliation statements)
• Oversee inventories, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions
• Ensure compliance with MFRS, taxation, SST, and statutory requirements
• Coordinate with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and company secretaries
• Support year-end audit, tax submissions, and internal control improvements
• Assist in process improvement, SOP enhancement, and system implementation
• Any other ad hoc assignments from the Senior Management from time to time
• Process monthly payroll
• Handle EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB
• Prepare EA Form & payroll reports

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, MICPA) is an added advantage
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and taxation
• Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel, familiar with SQL accounting system is an added advantage
• Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Mature, responsible, able to work independently with minimum supervision, and meet tight deadlines
