Finance Senior Manager / Finance Manager

The Senior Finance Manager / Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial health and strategy of the company, ensuring financial stability, cost control, and regulatory compliance. This role involves managing financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, risk management, cash flow, and investment strategies to support the company's long-term growth, particularly within the plantation industry.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management for decision-making.
• Ensure proper financial governance and internal controls.
• Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements (profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Analyze financial performance and key business drivers to enhance profitability.

Costing & Budgeting

• Develop and monitor the annual budget, ensuring cost efficiency across plantation operations.
• Oversee cost control measures for raw materials, labor, and operational expenses.
• Implement financial performance benchmarks for cost optimization.

Cash Flow & Treasury Management

• Manage overall cash flow, working capital, and financial liquidity.
• Oversee fund allocations for operational and capital expenditures.
• Liaise with financial institutions for banking facilities, loans, and investment opportunities.

Taxation & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with Malaysian tax laws, including corporate tax, SST, and withholding tax.
• Implement tax planning strategies to optimize tax liabilities.
• Liaise with tax authorities, auditors, and regulatory bodies for financial compliance.

Accounts Payable & Receivable Management

• Oversee payments to suppliers, contractors, and employees.
• Ensure effective credit control policies and manage outstanding receivables.
• Monitor financial transactions to prevent fraud or financial mismanagement.
• Lead internal and external audit processes, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
• Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure accurate financial documentation and record-keeping for audit purposes.

Investment & Expansion Planning

• Evaluate financial feasibility of business expansion and capital investments.
• Manage financial aspects of land acquisitions, leases, and government permits for plantation operations.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures with financial due diligence.
• Oversee the implementation and optimization of financial systems (e.g., Pinfosys, SAP, SQL, AutoCount).
• Improve automation and digitalization of financial reporting.

Stakeholder & Management Collaboration

• Work closely with senior management to align financial strategies with business goals.
• Liaise with investors, financial institutions, government agencies, and regulatory bodies.
• Prepare financial presentations and reports for board meetings.
• Perform any other duties as Management may require from time to time.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in finance or accounting.
• Occasional travel required for site visits, audits, and stakeholder meetings
