Job summary
A manufacturer in Malaysia is looking for a Safety Assistant or Coordinator in Rawang, Selangor. The role includes developing and enforcing safety policies, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Candidates should have a completed OSH-C course and at least one year of experience in manufacturing or industrial safety, along with good communication and problem-solving skills. This position is crucial for maintaining safety standards in manufacturing operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in manufacturing or industrial safety.
- Good knowledge of manufacturing hazards like machinery, chemicals, ergonomics, noise, and confined spaces.
- Ability to train employees at all levels.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and enforce safety policies and procedures for manufacturing operations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and identify potential hazards in production areas.
- Monitor compliance with OSHA, local regulations, and industry safety standards.
- Investigate accidents, near misses, and safety incidents, and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate safety training, emergency drills, and promote safety awareness.
- Maintain safety records and liaise with authorities during audits and inspections.
