Job summary

A precast concrete manufacturing company in Kulai is looking for a Safety Coordinator to oversee and implement safety and health practices. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with Malaysian safety regulations and foster a strong safety culture among employees. Responsibilities include conducting safety inspections, coordinating safety programs, and liaising with government authorities. Required qualifications include a Diploma/Degree in Occupational Safety & Health and 1-3 years of relevant experience. The position offers a minimum salary of RM 3,700 monthly.

Job description

We are seeking a Safety Coordinator to oversee and implement safety, health, and environmental (SHE) practices at our precast concrete factory and project sites. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with Malaysian safety regulations and promote a strong safety culture among employees and contractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA 1994, FMA 1967, and DOSH regulations.
  • Implement and monitor Safety & Health Programs at factory and site.
  • Prepare, review, and update:
    • HIRARC
    • SOPs
    • Permit to Work (PTW)
  • Conduct safety induction and toolbox meetings.
  • Carry out regular safety inspections and audits.
  • Monitor high-risk activities including:
    • Crane & lifting operations
    • Precast installation
    • Heavy machinery & forklift operations
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near‑miss cases.
  • Ensure proper use of PPE by workers and subcontractors.
  • Liaise with DOSH, CIDB, JKKP, and relevant authorities.
  • Act as committee member / secretary for Safety & Health Committee.
