A leading insurance company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Actuarial Analyst to develop pricing strategies for retail products. The role involves monitoring portfolio performance, collaborating with stakeholders, and mentoring junior team members. Here’s what you will be doing:
- Define and develop technical and commercial pricing for retail products
- Propose and implement pricing strategies and portfolio steering initiatives to meet business objectives
- Monitor portfolio performance and review effectiveness of pricing strategy
- Prepare and review rate filing documentation to regulator
- Rate maintenance in pricing engine
- Mentor, supervise and develop junior actuarial members
- Collaborate with stakeholders from other functions passionate about insurance and delivering value to customers
The company is looking for:
- Degree in Actuarial Science, Data Science, or other Mathematics/Statistics-based major
- Fresh graduates and talents with up to 2 years of relevant work experience encouraged to apply
- Strong interest in General (Non‑Life) Insurance
- High learning agility and work efficiency
- Experience in managing direct reports (ideally)
- Good progress in internationally recognized actuarial examinations
- Fluent in written and spoken English with good communication skills
- Strong computer application skills in Microsoft Office suite and programming languages especially Python, SQL
- Familiarity with AI tools like ChatGPT or Copilot is an added advantage
