Manager / Senior Manager - Sustainability and Climate Change
Location: Kuala Lumpur City Centre, Kuala Lumpur, MY
Responsibilities
Assist the head of department in designing and developing a cross‑company, cross‑functional sustainability roadmap strategy.
Collaborate with functions and business to integrate sustainability initiatives into core business operations, monitor the progress and champion the delivery of these initiatives.
Lead the collation, ensuring accuracy and monitoring of sustainability performance (Scope 1, 2, 3 emissions) for various business units and functions in the group and report to management and board on progress against targets.
Provide key support in the assurance process for sustainability and ESG disclosures, preparing documentation, engaging with internal/external assurance providers, and ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with reporting standards.
Contribute to the development of annual sustainability reporting and necessary disclosures, ensuring adherence to relevant reporting requirements and frameworks.
Work alongside risk management and business units to identify and assess ESG‑related risks and opportunities, and develop mitigation strategies for sustainability‑related risks.
Prepare sustainability framework and relevant business policies to enhance sustainability practices within the organization.
Monitor sustainability trends and advise the leadership team on emerging issues, risks, and opportunities.
Undertake all ad‑hoc projects, assignments or other duties as requested by management.
Qualifications
