This is a full-time on-site role for a Lab Assistant / Lab Technician (Fresh Graduates are welcome to apply) at our Shah Alam facility. The Lab Assistant / Lab Technician will be responsible for conducting quality control tests, operating laboratory equipment, and performing various laboratory tasks. Duties include preparing samples, recording and analyzing data, ensuring laboratory safety, and supporting the development of new products through experimental procedures. The role also involves maintaining accurate records of laboratory activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and supporting the research and development team with analytical tasks.

• Carry out daily quality checks on products.
• Conduct random/regular checks on incoming raw materials and/or new raw materials for suitability in production.
• Carry out routine checks of laboratory equipment and proper usage and handling of equipment.
• Carry out regular preparation of reagents and solutions for laboratory and other plant usage.
• Ensure proper house-keeping and cleanliness of laboratory.
• Ensure safe storage and handling of laboratory chemicals.
• Ensure records are legible and are stored, maintained and retained according to procedures set.
• Ensure all work and operating procedures are being followed.
• Ensure good and safe working condition and environment in the laboratory by maintaining good 5S & OSH practices.
• Assist in calibration of equipment at prescribed intervals.
• Assist Chemist and Technical Assistant in carrying out research and development works whenever the need arises.
• Assist in verification (when necessary), maintenance and control of relevant quality records for the ISO 9001 Quality system.
• Adhere to all OSH regulations.
• Assist QMR in efficient preparation and management of documents of MAC Quality Management System.
• Ensure proper documents are created and signed, accurate including documents distribution, storage and retention.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining the internal and external audit of ISO 9001.
• Comply and follow all ISO 9001 Quality Management System standards and procedure.
• Adhere strictly to all OSH guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe and orderly environment.
• Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by superior.
