Job summary

A financial institution in Kuala Selangor is looking for a qualified candidate to provide interim support for Regulatory and Financial Reporting. You will be responsible for preparing local regulatory reports and ensuring compliance with guidelines. The ideal applicant will possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting and have 3-5 years of experience in a financial institution. Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential for success in this role, which requires collaboration with various stakeholders and project management tasks.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge in regulatory reporting is an advantage.
  • Experience in working with cross border and functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Regulatory Reporting Lead and Financial Reporting Lead.
  • Contribute to local regulatory reporting.
  • Ensure timely and accurate regulatory reporting.
  • Prepare journal entries and streamline processes.
  • Support Sarbanes-Oxley implementation.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Interim responsibility of supporting Regulatory Reporting Lead / Financial Reporting Lead
  • Contribute in or prepare local regulatory reporting (BNM, PIDM etc)
  • Ensure all regulatory and statistical reporting are prepared in accordance with guidelines issued by regulators in a timely and accurate manner
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Support the Bank’s Group regulatory reporting offshore
  • Support the Regulatory Reporting Lead in managing projects related to regulatory reporting across all phases of project life cycle including (but not limited to) design of technical requirements, risk & mitigation plans, issue resolution, UAT and execution, identify interdependencies across other work streams within Finance department and other projects, where appropriate, manages communication with relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure Standard Operating Procedures are updated in a timely manner
  • Continuously review and streamline processes, and enhance controls surrounding regulatory reporting functions
  • Support the implementation of Sarbanes‑Oxley
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of working experience preferably in a financial institution
  • Bachelor's Degrees in Finance/Accounting or related fields
  • Knowledge in regulatory reporting would be an added advantage
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Assertive and driven to plan and execute while maintaining effective working relationships with stakeholders. Detail oriented and hands‑on.
  • Good excel/productivity tool skills
  • Experience in working with cross border and functional teams
