We’re looking for a QHSE Officer to be based in our depot in Johor or our KL office. This role will support the effective implementation of QHSE policies and procedures and assist in driving a safe work culture of QHSE at depot and site locations across Malaysia.

What you’ll do:

• Assist in implementing QHSE policies and processes, ensuring adherence to local Malaysian legislation and Aggreko's internal standards.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with sites and depots, addressing QHSE issues and providing expert advice to all staff levels.
• Monitor and support the execution of safe work processes and ensure Safe Work Method Statements are in place across all Aggreko locations.
• Assist in the completion of QHSE-related aspects for project tenders.
• Support incident investigations, assist in producing safety alerts, and conduct comprehensive risk assessments.
• Deliver QHSE training and conduct inductions for new and existing employees.
• Assist with rehabilitation and return-to-work processes.
• Handle all scheduled waste reporting to DOE and annual DOSH reporting, along with other Malaysian regulatory requirements.
• Support, coordinate, and maintain all QHSE-related license applications for Malaysia.
• Proactively identify and implement ongoing QHSE improvements in collaboration with the HSE Specialist for Asia
• Support any other relevant duties assigned by reporting or company

You’ll have the following skills and experience:

• Degree in relevant field highly preferred
• Willing to travel within Malaysia for multiple projects and operational sites
• DOSH certified Safety and Health Officer (Green book)
• Completed OSH coordinator course and able register as OSH coordinator for Malaysia JB Depot into DOSH myKKP.
• Possesses certifications in Health and Safety from Malaysian DOSH/DOE/BOMBA, including OSH Coordinator, Scheduled Waste Training, and CERT/First Aid courses.
• Able to register as an OSH Coordinator for the Malaysia JB Depot within DOSH myKKP.
• Leads and is responsible for the Depot's monthly scheduled waste reporting to DOE.
• Possesses a solid understanding of Malaysia's OSH requirements (DOSH), environmental regulations (DOE), and Fire Safety Regulations (BOMBA).
• Has a solid understanding and application of local regulations and compliance, preferably as a trained system auditor with prior auditing experience.
• Experienced with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.
• Computer literate with MS Office proficiency, effective administrator, well-organized, methodical, and capable of working under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Possesses effective communication skills, strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, planning and organizing skills, and meticulous attentiontodetail.
