- Complete prototype production and hands on bench and soldering skills to complete various tests on a workbench to perfect the design.
- Complete power supply product regulatory agency certification and archive power supply project documentation.
Skills and Competencies Required
- Diploma, degree or equivalent working experience in electronics design with at least three years of experience in switching power supply development.
- Familiarity with the principles, operating modes, design formulas, advantages and disadvantages, and application scenarios of common topologies (Buck/Boost/BuckBoost/Flyback/Forward/LLC/PFC, etc.).
- Hands‑on experience with oscilloscopes, frequency response analyzers, power analyzers, thermal cameras, thermocouples, electronic loads, etc.
- Solid understanding of EMI/EMC prevention, suppression, grounding, shielding, and filtering techniques.
- Knowledge of digital control for power supplies (optional but a plus).
- Familiarity with SPICE‑based simulation tools (LTspice, PSpice, Psim, SIMetrix, etc.).
- Strong problem‑solving and debugging skills.
- Deep understanding of the characteristics, loss models, selection, and failure mechanisms of power devices (MOSFET/IGBT/SiC/GaN), magnetic components (inductor/transformer design/core materials), capacitors (electrolytic/ceramic/thin film), diodes/rectifiers.
- Ability to independently design and calculate magnetic components and parameters such as transformers and inductors, and perform power supply debugging, testing, and optimization.
- Understanding of Control loop compensation and measurement using Frequency Response Analyzer to plot Bode plots.
